MAMS2026: Madrid Autonomous Mobility Summit

2026 is the year autonomous mobility stops being a pilot project and starts being a market. Madrid is one of the clearest examples. EMT's SAE Level 4 autonomous bus has been running since September 2025, with an 8.4/10 user rating. The Villaverde Mobility Sandbox gives operators 20 km² of real urban environment to test in, the largest regulatory sandbox in Europe.

Regulation is also catching up with the technology: the UNECE global framework for automated driving systems, the EU's Automotive Industrial Action Plan and new developments from Spain's Dirección General de Tráfico are all taking shape this year.

Over two days we'll cover the international race for AV adoption, lessons from Europe's live pilots, the regulatory path from the EU framework to Spanish law, Madrid's own roadmap, and the future of autonomous mobility in both passenger transport and logistics.
